FACTS

Yangon City Hall (YCH) is the city hall of Yangon, the largest city of Burma, and the seat of the city’s administrative body, Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC).  And yes, it is also the head quarters of Yangon City’s Mayor.

Centrally located in the heart of Yangon, it is next to several important landmarks such as Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoohla Park, High Court, and the Main Post Office.  The precise location is corner of Mahabandoohla Road and Bar Street, Kyauktada Township.

The structure and architectural design unveils the rich artworks of post war British style and thus the building is  proudly listed on the Yangon City Heritage List.

After seeing wide angel photos, I’m dreaming of having newly released Tamron 10-24mm F/3.5 or Nikon 10-24mm F/3.5 but those are expensive and can’t effort.
I would probably borrow your lens when we meet. would you? :P

bravo bro… really luv this shot!!! u know what… i really admire those kinda grand buildings from British colony era like City Hall, St. Paul Church, St. John Convent School & Sacatarius Office (hope i remember & spell it correctly… the one i mean is “A Twin Win Yone”…) i have no idea why government doesn’t pay effort to maintain those invaluable grand buildings… u know… that City Hall is beautiful juz by outside appearance only… it’s so dirty & awful inside that u can’t miss the smell of urea…

[...] One day, we were walking along the Anawrahta Road (formerly known as Frazer Road).  We saw those street vendors on platform, we eat street food, it was so fun. And Dad normally visits his old friend, Mg Mg Hnyat (Photo Mg MG Hnyat).  This place is just next to Mg Mg Hnyat’s house.  Yes, it’s 33rd Street (Upper Block) of Kyauktada Township, Rangoon.  The area is always packed with numerous street vendors, photo printing shops, a few cameras and other multimedia accessories shops.  And it’s right behind the Yangon City Hall.
